Hello Brookins-Kirkland Church Family and Friends,

I pray you all are safe and well!

In eighty-eight days, on November 3, 2020, the presidential and congressional elections and many other state and local elections will take place. Please register to vote! Please check your registration! Let me remind you that Brookins-Kirkland Community AME Church is a charitable, tax-exempt organization. Our organization is prohibited from participating in any political campaign for or against any candidate for public office. However, you may exercise your individual rights to participate in partisan political activities on your own time, but not in the name of the church. Voting is your right as an American citizen. Congressman John R. Lewis spent his life insuring your right to vote was honored. Don’t let his living be in vain!

Our church building will remain virtually open, and we will continue virtual worship and meetings as we shelter in place. Coming soon: Video worship service!

Welcome to Brookins-Kirkland Community A.M.E. Church!

Join us for Spirit-Filled Worship at Brookins-Kirkland Community A.M.E. Church.

Rejuvenate Your Spiritual Life. Reconnect with the Lord. Experience God’s Abundant Blessings in your daily life. We have ministries for children, teens, adults and seniors.

The Rev. Dr. Mary S. Minor, D. Min., MBA, is our Pastor/Teacher and she is wholly committed to Christ and on fire for the Lord. As Senior Pastor, Dr. Minor consistently delivers dynamic, Bible-based messages that inspire many people to accept Christ as their Lord and Savior. She also blesses the congregation with her gifted singing.

We worship every Sunday 9:00 a.m., and we invite you to join us for a spirit-filled time in the Lord. Our multi-cultural congregation reflects the rich ethnic diversity of Southern California: African-Americans, Hispanics, Filipinos and Caucasians.

All of our services incorporate prayer, music and life-application sermons to equip believers to utilize the word of God to activate the power of God in daily living through Jesus Christ.
